CNE Direct, now illumynt, announced that its Groveport, Ohio processing facility achieved four important ITAD certifications and industry standards: R2v3, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
The certifications reflected CNE Direct’s commitment to quality, environmental responsibility, workplace health and safety, and responsible management of decommissioned technology assets.
Four Important Industry Certifications
The Sustainable Electronics Reuse & Recycling (R2) Standard, or R2v3, establishes requirements for the responsible management of used electronics. The standard addresses areas including downstream vendor management, data sanitization, and the testing and repair of used IT equipment and components.
The Ohio facility also received certification to:
ISO 9001 — Quality Management Systems
ISO 14001 — Environmental Management Systems
ISO 45001 — Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems
Together, the certifications provided independent validation of the processes and procedures used at the facility.
“The combination of these important industry certifications speaks volumes that CNE’s processes and procedures have been thoroughly vetted by an independent certification agency,” said Omur Bagci, Chief Executive Officer of CNE Direct at the time of the announcement.
The Groveport facility, located at 2553 Global Court, opened as a 93,000-square-foot operation with secure industrial processing space, warehouse storage, conveyor systems, and shipping and receiving capabilities.
The Ohio operation formed part of CNE Direct’s global network of technology lifecycle facilities across the United States, Europe and Asia.
