Paul Knight is the Founder and Chairman of illumynt. Paul founded illumynt (CNE Direct) in 2002 with the inspiration to develop a robust electronics marketplace to sell excess, obsolete and retired IT assets. This marketplace would help provide a sustainable alternative to reuse hardware that was often disposed of in an environmentally harmful manner.
With over 35 years of leadership in technology, Paul’s vision and focus has remained consistent throughout − to help companies manage the challenges resulting from rapid changes in supply and demand for electronic products worldwide. Paul and his team have developed innovative programs that help assist some of the world’s leading technology companies find alternative channels for their retired and trailing edge technology, while supporting a sustainable circular economy.
Prior to founding illumynt, Paul served as Vice President and General Manager at NECX (now Converge, an Arrow Electronics Company) responsible for leading the organizations’ trading operations and establishing a new international sales division.
Paul is a graduate of the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and holds a Certificate of Foreign Studies from Sophia University in Tokyo.
Jörg Herbarth is Chief Executive Officer of illumynt, where he leads the company’s development as a technology-driven lifecycle platform for the AI era. He is responsible for illumynt’s strategic direction and global growth, and for ensuring the company delivers measurable value, security, and sustainability outcomes for its customers and partners.
Since joining illumynt in 2022, Jörg has held several executive roles, including Vice President of Product & BI and Chief Operating Officer. In those roles he led the integration of advanced analytics, AI, and automation into illumynt’s operations, strengthening the company’s ability to recover value and resolve complex reverse supply chain challenges.
Jörg brings more than two decades of leadership in the ITAD and reverse supply chain industry, with senior positions at Reconext, Teleplan International, Arrow Electronics, Sims Lifecycle Services, and Supply IT. His technical depth and customer-centric approach shape how illumynt engineers its recovery processes and builds the intelligence layer behind them.
Based in the Netherlands, Jörg leads illumynt’s international team, with a focus on scaling sustainable growth, extending global capability, and advancing the Talorem platform that underpins the company’s lifecycle work.
Jerry Quill is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at illumynt, responsible for the financial performance, and growth of illumynt’s global business.
An executive with over 20 years’ experience in managing operations, complex capital assets and investments, Jerry leads the global finance team focused on expanding illumynt’s platform and capabilities, while generating profitable growth in all markets.
Prior to his role as CFO, Jerry held a number of positions including Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and was Vice President of Corporate Strategy. He also was Managing Director at GE Capital where he led teams in the completion of $3 billion of investments, including corporate acquisitions, joint ventures, and portfolio purchases.
Jerry holds an MBA from the Boston University Questrom School of Business and an undergraduate degree in finance from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
As Chief Revenue Officer, Chris leads illumynt’s global revenue strategy, customer engagement, and strategic partnerships as demand accelerates for secure, technology-driven IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) solutions. Under his direction, illumynt’s global business development team drives growth and expansion across all critical client segments, including OEM, data center, and hyperscale partners.
Chris brings extensive experience in enterprise technology services and has played a key role in illumynt’s recent momentum, including significant revenue growth and the expansion of advanced capabilities across AI/GPU diagnostics, automation, and value recovery.
Chris has excelled in revenue-generating leadership roles over a 27-year career with organizations such as Converge, Atlantix, and Reconext. A native of the Dominican Republic, Chris is bilingual and an alumnus of The Lawrenceville School (Class of ’82) and attended both Skidmore College and UNIBE ’86.
Mike Hammond is Vice President of Business Development, responsible for working with the Originations Team to identify and develop new customer engagements.
Leveraging over two decades of experience in technology acquisition and resale, Mike combines data and business intelligence into the sales process to create effective and sustainable reuse solutions that help companies manage their retired electronics and excess computer component challenges.
Prior to his role as Vice President of Supply, Mike held several positions at illumynt (formerly CNE Direct) including, VP Solutions Development and Vice President of Global Sales. Prior experience includes management positions as a senior trader and business analyst at Converge (an Arrow Electronics Company) and sales positions at Real World Electronics.
Mike possesses a strong technical background, studying electrical engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Tony Giannetti is Senior Vice President of Global Operations at illumynt, where he leads the company’s global operations strategy, oversees the expansion of its operational infrastructure, and drives innovation in technology lifecycle management. He is focused on applying engineering discipline to scale operations, optimize performance, and maximize value recovery.
With more than 20 years of leadership experience in global operations, supply chain, reverse logistics, and engineering, Tony has held senior roles at some of the world’s leading technology companies, including Dell, Apple, Microsoft, and A2 Global Electronics. Throughout his career, he has built and led complex global organizations, delivering operational excellence through scalable processes, continuous improvement, and disciplined execution.
Tony has extensive experience leading global teams, designing scalable operating models, optimizing supply chain performance, and implementing strategies that improve efficiency, and create long-term value for stakeholders.
He holds a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a master’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
Gavin Wilson is Vice President of Platform Engineering at illumynt, where he leads the development of Talorem®, the platform underpinning the company’s recovery, testing, and asset intelligence work.
His background is in returns and reverse supply chain engineering, spanning test development, software automation, greenfield builds, and process improvement. He has built scalable systems for repair, refurbishment, automated testing, data erasure, and asset management, translating operational requirements into tooling that holds up at production volume.
Gavin began his career as a test engineer and power supply designer before moving into leadership of local, regional, and global engineering programs. He has remained an active coder alongside those responsibilities, working hands-on from prototype through to released product — an approach that lets him both set technical direction and contribute directly to what his teams ship.
At illumynt, he is focused on extending the platform’s engineering capability and advancing the automation and intelligence behind the company’s lifecycle operations.
Joe Conway serves as the Vice President of Solutions at illumynt where he leads the company’s global operating platform, compliance, engineering, and logistics activities.
Joe has 30 years of experience in the technology industry, including new product introduction, business development, program management, procurement, and repair operations. He joined illumynt in 2020 and has played a key role in winning large global engagements by crafting sophisticated solutions leveraging illumynt’s global footprint, local operating resources, and engineering capabilities.
Prior to joining illumynt, Joe held senior program management and operating roles at Arrow Electronics, Nortel Networks, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. His deep understanding of the technology industry, sustainability, and data security will help illumynt continue to deliver global growth in the coming years.
Alyson Kelly Kaye serves as the Vice President of Marketing at illumynt, where she leads brand strategy, demand generation, and go-to-market initiatives that elevate the company’s leadership in secure IT asset disposition, value recovery, and sustainability-driven solutions.
With over 20 years of experience spanning integrated marketing, client services, and data-driven performance strategies, Alyson brings a unique ability to connect marketing’s creative vision with its analytical rigor. At illumynt, she drives efforts to amplify the company’s impact across enterprise customers, positioning its capabilities in compliance, ESG alignment, and asset value optimization to meet evolving market demands.
